eCom BRG
Develops and maintains the business processes and associated data requirements used in transactional processes within the supply & demand chain. Also develops GS1 solutions using XML syntax and/or EANCOM (a subset of UN/EDIFACT, the international standard for Electronic Data Interchange).

Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) BRG
The GSMP managed GDSN BRG is a forum to identify specific barriers to implementation, necessary process updates for existing standards, standards enhancements (ex. develop validation rules and documentation updates), and to discuss changes to the GS1 Standards that affect the GDSN Community

AIDC Application Standard for Healthcare Work Group
Records the Business Requirements, Business Rules, and Regulated Healthcare Supply Chain Scenarios in a Business Requirements Analysis Document BRAD) for AIDC marking and labeling of healthcare products in the global healthcare supply chain.

eCom Logistics Standards Work Group
Develops GS1 exchange standards based on the existing logistics related eCom standards (addressing both EANCOM® and GS1 XML). It will also investigate inclusion for solutions for the SME’s like XML-forms, eDocs, which are not yet part of the standard.

Indicator Digit Rules Work Group
Records the Use Cases (BRAD) for the application of indicator digits for the marking and labeling of healthcare products in the global healthcare supply chain, establishes rules for indicator digits, and creates General Specification Change Notices (GSCN).

Missing Identification Resolution Work Group
Produces guidelines to implement serialized item level identification. It explains how parties downstream (not source) in the supply chain could make sure that the serial number that they add to the product is unique. The implementation guideline can be used by any company using or thinking to use GS1 Identification via EPC tags or GS1 Barcodes.

NATO Asset Tracking Work Group
Enables the 26 NATO Nations to exchange information globally using GS1 Application Identifiers (AIs). Enhances the NATO Supply Chain by establishing permanent AI to further define shipment requirements. Expands the requested AI to the NATO Trading Partners and the commercial market place such as CPG.
